Accommodation

The Seaside House sleeps up to six people as it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two reception rooms and a separate kitchen & utility room, but is also cosy enough for a couple to really enjoy. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and welcoming, providing the perfect base for a true hebridean holiday. The ground floor is carpeted throughout with high quality Brintons plaid carpet, whilst the kitchen, rear hallway, utility room and bathroom boast wooden floors. The walls display original art from local and other artists. The whole house was completely refurbished in 2011 and a brand new heating system was installed in 2016 and the two bathrooms were completely refitted in 2020. We have superfast broadband which is included in the tarrif.

Downstairs

Sitting Room

This lovely room is decorated with the colours of the seaside in mind – beiges for the beach, blues and turquoises for the sea, with beautiful views over to the Isle of Taransay. Sumptuous arm chairs and sofa mean that once you’ve sat down it might be hard to tear yourself away!

Dining room

The perfect setting for a family meal of haggis and neeps! Enjoy the warmth of the solid fuel stove (smokeless coal only please). Or sink into the two seater sofa to read a book. After the meal (or on a stormy day) sit around the table and enjoy playing one of the many board games provided in the cupboard.  Or simply stand in the window looking up the beautiful Luskentyre estuary.

Kitchen

This separate kitchen has all appliances including full fridge/freezer, induction hob, oven and dishwasher. Enjoy a morning cup of tea looking out of the full size window up Beinn Dhub and see if you can spot any Golden Eagles circling.

Bedroom 3

The only downstairs bedroom in the Seaside House, this room can sleep one or two people as it has a truckle bed which turns into two singles or can be moved together for a double (please note not linked). This is a very cosy room and has the benefit of a bathroom right next door.

Bathroom

Fully equipped with good size bath with shower over, wc and wash hand basin. There is also a heated towel rail.

Porch

The porch at the Seaside House is really a room in itself – large enough to store all your coats and wellies but there is also a raised platform with a chair to sit and take in the views or you can look through our telescope to study the amazing night sky with no light polution.

Utility room

This separate utility room is really useful. It has its own external door and is adjacent to the kitchen. It houses a stainless steel sink and drainer, washing machine, separate tumble dryer and microwave.

Upstairs

Bedroom 1

The main bedroom has a really light feel to it with white painted v-line wooden walls and contrasting turquoise woodwork. It has a solid oak, king-size bed with matching bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers with mirror.

Bedroom 2

This bedroom again has an incredibly light and airy feel to it. It has two white painted wooden single beds, a wardrobe, two chests of drawers and bunk beds. It’s perfect for all the children sharing or even a whole family of four (please note that usually the Seaside House is for 6 guests only).

Shower Room

Small shower room in between the two bedrooms housing shower with door, wc, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
